Valon Kashtanjeva

Valon Kashtanjeva is of counsel to Randazza Legal Group and is the managing partner at AMA IP-LEX in Pristina, Kosovo.  He holds an LL.M. in European Economic Law and Intellectual Property Law from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, as well as an LL.M. in International Intellectual Property Law  from the WIPO Academy and Università Degli Studi di Torino.

Valon has over 15 years of experience in policymaking and implementation, legal drafting, decision-making, advisory, strategic planning, business consulting and legal research. He was a member of Kosovo’s Delegation on the negotiations with the EU on the Stabilization and Association Agreement on Intelectual Property Chapter.

For nearly a decade, he led the Kosovo Copyright Office and played a key role in policymaking and drafting primary and secondary legislation related to intellectual property rights (IPR). He also led the Task Force Against Piracy and Counterfeiting and was instrumental in spearheading government initiatives aimed at establishing and bolstering the IPR system in the country.
