The very popular X account, Murray Hill Guy, is often provocative.  He has developed a massive following and the press seems to pick up on his antics.  He’s a NYC dating/finance influencer with a podcast (“5•6•7 w/ Murray Hill Guy”), a Substack, and viral threads on Hinge experiments, dating horror stories, and politics. The account gained a burst of mainstream attention from a June–July 2025 viral incident where he canceled a date after a woman asked about voting for Zohran Mamdani.  When he posted about the cancellation, she made a legal demand, to which we responded. (Coverage by Above The Law)

This time, Eric Spector, the operator of the @goonboss_ X account sued Murray Hill Guy for defamation.  The crux of the complaint is that Lefkowitz (the real Murray Hill Guy) falsely implied that Spector is really “Murray Hill Guy.”  (Complaint)  It also alleges that other people, “amplified” by Lefkowitz made accusations that embarrassed Mr. Spector and caused his employer to fire him.  The evidence of that is scant.

In response, we filed an
Anti-SLAPP motion.  New York has a very strong Anti-SLAPP law, and we have brought it to bear to protect our client’s First Amendment rights.

The matter is ongoing.
