Parents of Rochester, N.Y. probably are resting easier this weekend now that an alleged serial footlicker is behind bars. Forty-nine-year-old Anthony Parri was arrested for removing a six-year-old’s shoes and rubbing her feet against his nose and mouth (source). The victim’s mother and a library attendant witnessed Parri’s conduct and reported the abuse to law enforcement officers. (source) Parri is believed to be involved in six other footlicking incidents that victimized girls between 5 and 10 years old within the Rochester metro area. (source)
Outside the courthouse, Parri responded to the allegations by stating that “I am being set up by the President Barack Obama and the city and the federal government.”(source)
In my several regretful years spent in Upstate New York, I can say that this kind of Florida-level bizarreness is common. Everything north of Columbia University in New York State could be wiped off the face of the earth and nothing of value would be lost. This story is merely a reminder of that fact.
