More on operation "involuntary porn"
For those of you who liked the “isanybodydown.com” posts, there is an ongoing lawsuit against the owners of a site called “yougotposted.com.” Read, enjoy, crowdsource. Like I said before, I have but two rules when it comes to porn: Rule #1: The subjects must be adults Rule #2: The subjects must be consenting adults. Yougotposted.com, isanyoneup.net, isanybodydown.com, and all of their ilk most certainly violate Rule #2. None of these assholes get the subjects’ consent before publishing their photos, publishing their names, links to their facebook profiles, etc. I’m proud to be part of any case to bring them down for that.
isanybodydown.com responds!
Well, since he puts it this way…. And more emails from him here: I wonder how accurate this information is: And here’s his linked in profile.
Take Down "David Blade, Attorney at Law" and Isanybodydown.com — Who's with me?
When it comes to porn, here are my rules: Rule #1: The subjects must be adults Rule #2: The subjects must be consenting adults If you don’t break either of those rules, I am on your side. I will defend your right to make, watch, display, and sell that content. Break either rule, and I want to hurt you for the damage you do to others. I want to hurt isanybodydown.com. I want to hurt them bad. Who’s with me? Here’s their business plan: Step one: Register the domain name “isanybodydown.com” Step two: Get ahold of nude photos of people who never consented to having their photos published. Step three: Publish them, along with their names, home towns, and links
Oh, Japan! What WILL You Think Of Next?
There is a toilet company called Toto. There is a sports lottery agent also called Toto. Therefore, it was only natural that the two companies joined forces to create…. The Super Great Toilet Keeper. And it’s exactly what it sounds like. A goal keeping terlit that shoots little balls toward incoming soccer balls to deflect them out of bounds. This fancy commode was apparently created to emphasize both companies’ green initiatives. I’m not sure what this has to do with reducing one’s carbon footprint, but really, who cares? This thing is awesome. Pew! Pew!

The slow creep of the TSA / new site review
By J. DeVoy Roosh, the celebrated love tourist and proprietor of Roosh V, has a new project titled Return of Kings. In one of its first posts, he addresses the TSA’s gradual metamorphosis into a pseudo-police force accountable to no one but themselves. Roosh’s experience is not as jarring as Amy Alkon’s. However, it is jarring to read as a citizen of a country that professes to have and protect the Fourth Amendment. With the flats of his hand he pressed through every inch of my torso. He lifted my shirt slightly and felt around my jean waistline. Then he ironed my legs and the side of my thighs. He didn’t touch my crotch area. […] I had thought the
Statutes of Limitations
Contributed by Charles Platt For two weeks, now, UK residents have been stunned by an avalanche of revelations–or at least accusations–regarding the BBC and one of its most famous, nationally revered figures, Sir Jimmy Savile, a disc jockey who hosted shows over a period of decades. Savile endeared himself to the British by doing charity work for hospitals, and was even given his own little room at one, allowing him free access to the entire facility. Apparently he used this access to molest young people, many of them under the age of consent, when they were incapacitated or in wheel chairs. I’m reminded of Willie Sutton’s famous quote, explaining that he robbed banks because “that’s where the money was.” Savile
Grow House Busted: Children Saved(?)
Yesterday’s headline: “Police Bust Grow House in Henderson.” (source) Well, at least now the good people of the Las Vegas Valley are safer… The house is five houses down from a school. “We act upon every tip that we get. It makes us feel good that we are getting a steady amount of tips every night,” Lt. Laz Chavez of Metro Police said. “We have a lot of children that walk by this house to go to and from the school, and that just goes to show the disregard that these criminals that put together these grow houses.” Police said the house posed a danger to the residents living near by and to a school just a half block away. Let the punishment fit the crime?
This year, Highland Middle School in Anderson, Indiana purchased iPads as an enhancement tool for student education. Unfortunately, the teachers weren’t given a crash course on how iPads work before the tablets were introduced to the kids. One teacher at the school decided to take some topless photographs of herself on her iPhone and proceeded to accidentally sync her naked pics to one of the school’s iPads. Inevitably, four boys borrowed the offending iPad, opened up iPhoto, found themselves confronted with their teacher’s boobs, and did what any 13 year old boys would do in that situation. They turned the iPad over to the administration so that other students wouldn’t see the photos. Wait, what…? Alright, these may be the
1) Zumba, 2) Prostitution, 3) Profit!
A Zumba instructor in Kennebunk, Maine took the exercise / art form to its logical next level and apparently offered sex for money as part of the deal. (source) The Zumba instructor pleaded not guilty to 106 counts of prostitution. What makes the story really interesting is the public access to records issue. The police initially released 21 names out of a presumed 150 name customer list, and intend to release more names as summonses are issued. This release reportedly “created havoc for some innocent men who shared names with the accused.” Addresses, ages and other identifying information of the alleged clients were withheld after a judge ruled that state law required them to be kept confidential because the alleged

Bird, Bird, Bird… Bird is the Word
Two U.C. Berkeley School of law students may soon find out that what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay off character and fitness applications. Las Vegas Metro police arrested Eric Cuellar and Justin Teixeira on charges of conspiracy and malicious, willful torture of wildlife after police observed them throwing around the head of a guinea fowl in Flamingo Las Vegas’ Wildlife Habitat. (Source). (Why they gotta say “guinea fowl?” It can’t be an Italian American Eagle? -ed) Video surveillance on the scene captured the two men chasing the bird around, and then following it into some trees. A witness says the men then emerged from the trees carrying the body and severed head of the bird. Nevada recently passed Cooney’s
From engagement photo to political attack ad…
In May of 2010, Thomas Privitere and Brian Edwards, a gay couple, hired a photographer to take pictures of the two men in a New York City park. Their favorite photograph displayed the two men kissing and holding hands with the Brooklyn Bridge in the background. The couple liked the picture so much that they posted it on the Internet as their engagement photo. Cut to Spring of 2011: Public Advocate of the United States, a conservative nonprofit, needed a photograph for a political flyer to take a Republican State Senator from Colorado to task for voting to approve same-sex civil unions. Public Advocate ran across Privitere’s and Edwards’ engagement photograph on the Internet. Presumably, the nonprofit believed Coloradans would

More Legal Stupidity – Brought to you by "The Innocence of Muslims"
The Innocence of Muslims seems to be the place wehre really stupid free speech positions intersect with the Arab-Israeli conflict. In the latest installment, we have the dumbest copyright infringement suit filed by anyone whose name does not end in “haven.” Actress Cindy Lee Garcia appeared in the now-infamous online film “The Innocence of Muslims.” She first filed a lawsuit in California state court, trying to get a state judge to order YouTube to remove the film from publication. (Complaint) She claimed that the director told her that she would star in a “desert adventure film,” but the actual movie was one in which the Prophet Mohammed appeared to perform cunnilingus on Garcia’s character. The state court judge refused to
